The Art of Dispute Settlement is My Domain.

ABOUT

Three decades of advocacy in litigation and arbitration have made me familiar with dispute resolution. Now I focus on sitting as arbitrator.

My experience as a judge, as an in-house counsel and as party counsel in litigation and arbitration has made me familiar with all divergent views of the players”in commercial disputes.

My style is thorough and creative, and I consider dispute settlement as a service. My goal is to structure and plan the proceedings in consensus and then carry them out with care and commitment. My professional eye spotting win-win-situations and opportunities of amicable settlement is sometimes helpful.

Lecture 26.01.2018 "Arbitration by last will"

On Friday 26.01. Wolfgang Hahnkamper held a lecture at a conference organized by the "Schiedsgericht Salzburg" in the city of Salzburg. He covered the topic of "arbitration by last will". The conference focused on arbitration in succession matters which Austrian and German arbitration law explicitly provides. There was lively and extensive discussion in which participants compared arbitral proceedings to the (sometimes molestuous) proceedings before the state court judge in and in connection with probate proceedings.
